2015 - Cut Window Theory
Rickety structures on which to hang clay. The clay lays over the structures, sliding down the sill. Windows cut into the clay mirror the windows outside. In a city where new building seems endless, these structures recall the old ones, where personality comes from time and wear.
2013 - Along the Sill at Pocket U
Sculptures line a windowsill in a gallery. If you look at them closely, the scale shifts. The sculptures become large and the objects in the background shrink. The background becomes part of the piece. Pedestrians with umbrellas, windows in the buildings across the street, cars zipping by, smoke from the street construction, and street signs all take part.
